As a result of her writing, Judith was asked to represent New Jersey as a delegate to the White House Conference on Library and Information Services. Her in-depth research, and in turn, expert knowledge, led her to serve as a member of the Brooklyn Bridge Centennial Commission. As Chairperson of its Educational Committee, she was responsible for creating a packet about the bridge for New York City schoolchildren.
Judith and her husband live on the Connecticut shoreline. They have four grown children and five grandchildren. As for her love of books, Judith says: "Books have given me such a lifetime of pleasure that I hope the books I write will repay that debt in some small way."
